For the 3rd straight century, it was the consensus that we should start early and take adantage of the cool temperatures and favorable winds. I was feeling a lot better and decided to ride behind Kip and CJ (champion racers) for a while just to observe and admire. Very smooth. Then Don arrived, and we decided to catch the wheels of the other fast group (Alan, Wayne, Bill, Al and Quinny). They were taking it easy, because we were able to stay with them all the way to the 1st SAG, without drafting,of course. It's bad form to draft someone unless you're prepared to take your share of the pulls. Then we reached the Kansas line.
